What a memorable project this was to work on. There was great public interest from the day the first workman showed up, right until the day the last construction vehicle drove off the site. The project was not without its challenges, as these breathtakingly beautiful penthouse suites were built on top of an existing building right in the middle of Hermanus. That meant that no materials could be driven up to the actual site and everything had to be lifted with a crane. It was therefore paramount for us to make use of lightweight, yet durable, materials.
No matter the unique obstacles we had to overcome along the way, the view alone from up there was totally worth the effort. With large windows and magnificent patios all around, looking out on a 180 degree view of Walker Bay and the mountains behind it, these stunning suites will prove to be a whale watching paradise between June and November.
